Ubon Ratchatani has a good selection of hotels from fairly basic to tourist class. If you plan to visit during late July for the candle festival it may be wise to book in advance.

Food and Drink

There is no shortage of good quality restaurants in the city, and plenty of noodle stalls for those in need of a snack. The larger hotels usually have a buffet, and serve some western food.

Shopping

Ubon has many shops around the city centre and some department stores. Larger hotels have shops selling toiletries and souvenirs.

Sight Seeing

Most people will come to Ubon for the Candle Festival which begins in late July. It features music, parades, floats, beauty contests, and enormous carved bees wax candles of all shapes.
