There is a good range of accommodation available to suit most budgets
from inexpensive guest houses to air-conditioned hotels.
Food and Drink
Khon Kaen has a good selection of restaurants serving Isaan (north-east
Thai) food. The areas around the bus station and the market have plenty
of stalls selling cheap tasty meals. Some of the larger hotels have an
evening buffet. Shopping
Khon Kaen is a medium sized town and has plenty of shops selling day to
day items and some small department stores.
Sight Seeing
The town has a museum with a good collection of ceramic and bronze
artefacts, and an interesting wat located on the banks of Khon Kaen
lake.
