Chantaburi and Trat both have several low and mid priced hotels which
are clean and comfortable. Most will have air conditioned rooms.
Food and Drink
The area around the market is a good place to find cheap and tasty
food. Chareon Rat Road has a couple of coffee shops, and there are several
good restaurants dotted around the town.
Shopping
Chantaburi and Trat are not a shoppers paradise but you can find some
interesting buys. Try one of the tailors shops if you are in the market
for made to measure shirts or blouses.
Sight Seeing
On
the outskirts of Chantaburi is the Oasis Sea World which offers a fascinating
show with Pink Dolphins and Irrawaddy Dolphins. There are shows at 9am,
11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. There are also opportunities for visitors to
interact more closely with these wonderful creatures.
Trat can be a jumping off point for a trip to Koh Chang, which is Thailand's
second largest Island.
There are also many wrecks off this coast that can provide an exciting
diving expedition.
